"Working
with guitars and drums has been a lot of
fun because the EQP-200Bs have a great depth,
a fullness which really helps if you’re
working digitally."......Stephen

The
Summit Audio EQP-200B is a full range two channel
passive equalizer that utilizes vacuum tube technology
to overcome any gain loss. The EQP-200B uses both
solid state and tube technologies to produce the warm
sounds associated with tubes, while providing the
reliability of solid state devices. This passive tube
EQ is an incredibly warm sounding and accurate equalizer,
hand built in the USA to the most exacting standards.
Based on the original Pultec program equalizer design,
the EQP-200B uses a tried-and-true design with some
added Summit magic. Jensen 990 op amps on the output
give a clear and open sound to the passive EQ elements
in the filter circuits. The EQP-200B adds that special
touch to your mix without the inherent phase anomalies
of active EQ circuits. Tracking? Try the EQP-200B
on vocals, kick, or snare, a secret weapon of some
of the world's top engineers.

EQP-200B Basic Operating Instructions
Filtering and EQing a single
or stereo source: Plug the EQP-200 directly into the
insert jack(s) on the mixing console. Put the insert
send into the XLR input, and the XLR output back into
the insert return of the desired channel. The EQP-200B
sounds great if inserted directly after the preamp,
or before or after a compressor. Boosting
or cutting a low frequency: Select which frequency
needs to be boosted or cut with the low frequency
select knob. To increase the bass, turn the boost
knob up to the desired amount and make sure the
cut knob is turned all the way down. To roll off
the bass, turn the boost knob down and the cut knob
up.
Boosting
a mid-high frequency: Select which mid-high frequency
needs to be increased. Turn up the mid-high frequency
boost knob and select the proper bandwidth. A higher
number on the bandwidth knob is a wider bandwidth.
Cutting
a high frequency: Select which high frequency needs
to be attenuated with the high frequency select
knob, then turn the high frequency cut knob to the
appropriate amount.
Low
shelving: Set the low EQ section to shelving filter.
This will engage a 6dB per octave shelving filter
starting at the frequency you select.
