Below
is a selection of UK artistes (or artistes passing through
the UK) who have chosen Audix for live or in the studio.
|
Eric
Clapton
For Eric's 2006/07 'Back Home' tour, which takes in
much of Europe and the U.S. Robert Collins (FOH) chose
Audix Micro D’s for the Toms and the D6 for the
kick.
“The D6 is great. When we first tried it during
rehearsals we couldn’t believe how big the sound
was” remarked Robert who had previously used Audix
on the U.S. Cream tour. |

The
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The “Chili’s” are without doubt one
of the most influential bands of the last decade and are
presently running around the world on their “Stadium
Arcadium” tour. FOH engineer is Dave Rat (also FOH
for Rage Against The Machine, REM, The Bangles, Blink
182, Beck, The Cult, The Foo Fighters . and the list continues)
told us that the Audix OM7 is now very much part of their
set up. |

Katie
Melua
Katie has long been a user of the Audix VX10 condenser,
the cardioid pattern provides excellent gain before feedback
and, even with it’s extended low end response, the
VX-10 offers sonic clarity without “boominess”
in the lower mids – usually difficult to attain
with live vocals. |

|
Coldplay
Coldplay's FOH Dan Green is also another Audix convert.
"When we did eventually try the D6, I couldn't believe
how precise it was and I didn't even need to eq it".
Coldplay used the D6 on their last world tour. |

Blue
Man Group
Ross Humphrey (BMG Sound Designer) is a real Audix fan,
using D4’s and D6’s on various percussion
throughout the array that is on stage. “Audix faithfully
reproduces all of the dynamics without the loss of any
frequencies”. |
